3.) I am making my own prom dress. from scratch.
Well, me and my dad are, armed only with our John Lewis sewing machine, two books ('The Party Dress Book' and 'The Party Dress') and a small amount of sewing knowledge.
So, day one of our dressmaking adventure and we're learning basic skill... not very exciting so its become a bit of a competition...
So today we were learning about how to sew straight seams and curved seams... although i was sure my dad was better at sewing, i managed to just about hold my own and after long debate we each got an overall score of 20/30...
Next weekend - more curved seams and darts :D
